Post Medieval pewter (tin alloy) footed beaker or cup, probably a cawdle or caudle cup. In response to an inquiry from the finder, the Pewter Society of Great Britain (ref. A7470) confirmed the vessel was "genuinely a seventeenth century or earlier footed beaker with a handle with a gadrooned base, possibly indicating [it was] sourced from a London pewterer." Dates to between c1560 and c1710 AD.
Diameter 65mm, width 82mm, height 55mm, and weight 116g.

A dark grey hawking whistle most likely made from tin alloy. Cylindrical in shape with a tapering end and broken extension piece, possibly for an attachment loop. A thin raised ring at the top seperates the body of the whistle from the mouth-piece. Immediately below this upper ring is the semi-circular aperture which allows the sound to escape. The object is mostly intact although here is damage to the end of the mouthpiece, and some distortion of shape from erosion processes.

Copper alloy 19th century button probably pewter with the remains of the original gilding. The button is discoidal with a convex front and concave back decorated with a military motif from the 10th Regiment (North Lincoln) of foot of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. The button depicts Arabic numbers a crowned wreathed and is rimmed this would place it between 1856 and 1871AD. The button is gilded which suggests that it is an off an officers uniform. The diameter is 25mm.

Unusually light, almost 'plasticy' shilling or halfcrown of Charles I or Charles II, probably a contemporary forgery. Mint mark not visible.
A local expert in Charles I coins, Bob Lyall, argues that, "at 6.12 grams, it is of full weight for a Charles shilling (some provincial emergency mints are lightweight) and for a period of just a few weeks in 1626 the Tower struck light weight coins with mm cross on steps whereby a shilling weighed around 5.1 grams.
