The pendant is formed of an equal armed cross with a pendant loop at the top. The arms of the cross are circular in section and terminate with flat, blunt ends. Just before the ends of each arm is a rounded collar that encompasses the entire arm diameter; the collar is decorated with irregular incised stippling. Treasure Case 2022 T85 Description: A complete silver vervel (hawking ring) dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1500-1700). The vervel comprises the band, rectangular in section, with applied shield. Either side of the shield is the letter ‘H’ inscribed in Roman capitals.
