Post Medieval copper alloy 'Pineapple Penny' token of Barbados. On the obverse there is an African's head facing left and wearing a crown with Prince of Wales plumes. On the reverse is a drop shaped pineapple. These 'pennies' were not official currency, but said to be an anti-slavery campaign token commissioned by Sir Philip Gibbes (1731 - 1815). A probable incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman cast copper-alloy vessel foot, possibly from a bucket. The object is Pelta shaped, semi-circular in plan with two shallow scoops formed inside this. Between the scoops are the remains of an iron fixing whihc is heavily corroded. The item has a slight bevel all around the edges. Each face is smooth, and the object has an even green patina. A Bronze Age flat axe head. It is a trapezoidal in shape,widening towards the blade end. The blade is curved. There is no apparent stop feature. The side profile is slightly lenticular, with bevelled edges, which probably assigns this to Needhams Class 2. Further, the gently curved sides may suggest that it is Sub-class 2C. A copper alloy terret ring, probably of the Roman period. The ring is oval in shape with faceted faces around the radius, which means that the ring is almost diamond shaped in section. Under the ring is a an oval 'skirt', although very narrow and not  the usual wider skirt associated with these artefacts. This skirt is decorated with notches around the edge. Under this is a rectangular. mount with a rectangular central hole. Lewis in LPFG Datasheet 6 classifies these as being Continental in origin. Dimensions: 38mm long and 35mm wide, it weighs 29g

A large section of an Iron Age- early Roman period terret ring of simple type. It is moulded in one piece from copper alloy and has a circular cross section. This narrows slightly towards the top. At the bottom, there are two wider rings, approximately 3.5cm apart and equidistant from the centre. They are hemispherical on the outside, and flat inside, with another ringed feature moulded into this side. A complete and well preserved copper alloy side-looped spearhead. It has an elongated leaf shaped blade, with a pronounced mid rib. This ends in a conical socket, widening towards the end. In this are the remains of wood. The side loops are lozenge shaped and are flat to the socket. SALV[...], S C reverse type depicting Salus standing left holding patera (feeding snake rising from altar?) and vertical sceptre. Prototype of the mint of Rome. cf. RIC III, no. 982. This is a contemporary copy of a dupondius probably of Marcus Aurelius, the likely prototype dating to c.AD 169-170. The obverse legend is slightly blundered and the S of S C reversed.
