Copper alloy
Buckle. Cast rectangular buckle frame with bevelled edges and curved. The sides are thickened to retain a steel spindle (now lost). Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1720-1790.
Length: 24.3mm, Height: 18.6mm, Thickness (clear of spindle housing): 2.4mm, Weight: 3.47gms.

Possibly a fragment of a copper alloy sheet medieval buckle plate. The incomplete sub- rectangular plate has two rivet holes and terminates at one end with a small integral hook. The length is 42.5mm, the surviving width is 15.0mm and the weight is 3.23g.
This object was hitherto inadvertently described as a key (locking); a point kindly corrected by Tom Redmayne.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Romano-British one-piece Colchester type brooch. Behind the flat rectangular wings is a copper alloy spring with four surviving coils. The other half of the coils and the pin are missing. On top of the head is a forward facing hook to secure the spring. The plain bow is hexagonal in section and tapers to a plain pointed foot. The long catchplate is incomplete at the bottom and has two surviving rectangular perforations. The surviving length of the catchplate is 17.8mm and the width is 13.6mm. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval Vessel Leg. The straight sub-rectangular leg is sub-oval in section and tapers to the foot. At the top of the leg is an incomplete flange, which would have attached the leg to the vessel. The surviving length is 42.7mm, the width is 28.2mm, the thickness is 12.2mm and the weight is 54.35g

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval Buckle. The single loop oval frame has two knops on the outer edge, which flank a copper-alloy sheet roller. The strap bar is narrowed and offset and the pin is missing. The length is 16.7mm, the width is 18.1mm and the weight is 1.84g.

A complete but flattened cast copper-alloy Medieval Thimble. The plain thickened rim has two notches and the sides have rows of large drilled circular indentations in concentric circles. The top is completely covered with concentric circular rows of circular indentations. The surviving length is 22.7mm, the surviving width is 32.6mm and the weight is 5.12g.

An incomplete copper-alloy sheet post-medieval hook piece from a book clasp. The rectangular plate has an integral and central flat hook projecting from one end. The plate is broken midway up and the attachment part of the plate is missing. The plate is decorated with incised lattice decoration. The surviving length is 29.9mm, the width is 16.8mm and the weight is 7.15g.
