A flint thumb-nail scraper of very late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date c.2400-2100 BC. The flint is sub-rounded save for the striking platform edge. It has has short scaled abrupt retouch around the entirety of the rounded edges. The ventral face has been heavily rework to flatten the bulb of percussion with long invasive low angled retouch. Almost all the striking appears to be with heavy hammer technology. The scraper is a limid reddish yellow with mottling possibly from being exposed. The length is 27mm, the width is 14mm, thickness 13mm and the weight 3.77g.

Complete 'D' shaped scraper knapped from grey black flint and dating from the late Neolithic period 2500-2100BC, possibly a Riley Type 5 (Bond, C. Plate 5.112 and 5.113). The scraper is complete, made from a short, round flake with retouch along the total distal and halfway up the two mesial edges. Both the ventral and dorsal faces are very smooth with even ripple marks. Scrapers could have many uses from scraping the fat off animal skins, to scraping the bark off arrow shafts. The length is 42mm, width 34mm, thickness 6mm and the weight is 14.21g.

Stone axehead, very rough feel to surface. Extremely well worked given the hardness of the rock. Slightly expanded mid section, very narrow pointed butt end. Curving, rounded blade end, blade quite sharp-used. Complete. Regular, diminishing, lentoid section. Green and black granulated surface. Igneous, intrusive, very granular, hard rock, probably picrite. Maximum width 54.7mm, minimum width 10.5mm at butt end.

A polished stone axehead, which is complete and dates to the neolithic period. The axe is oval in section with a rounded tapering butt, which has slight pre-depositional damage. The cutting edge of the axe is flat though it does taper slightly and has rounded edges. From the butt end to the cutting end of the axe it tapers, (64mm to 35mm), with a maximum thickness of 31mm. There is evidence on the cutting edge of flaking and damage which is pre-depositional in appearence. The sides of the axe are squared, with concave faces (both front and back). The axeheads polish is very well preserved.

Lithic implement, probably a knife or scraper. It was knapped from light grey speckled flint and is hardly patinated. The dorsal face shows several large facets while the ventral face shows numerous waves/ripples. There are retouch marks forming a very ragged edge all around the edges on both the ventral and dorsal faces, although they are slightly more pronounced on the dorsal face.

Leaf-shaped Neolithic flint knife or oval side scraper dating from c. 3000-2100BC. This object appears to have been bifacially flaked suggesting that it is a knife. However, we do not have a side view for this object (only two images were provided by the finder) so we cannot be certain. It looks to have pressure flaking on dorsal side. It was probably formed on tertiary debitage rather than a deliberate stuck core.

Probably a copper axe of simple form dating to the Chalcolithic (Copper Age) also known as the very early Bronze Age 2,400 to 2,100 BC often called the Beaker period. The axe has a slight crescent profile with a rounded narrow tapering butt which expands and curves gradually, flaring after the centre to the blade end. The blade is rounded measuring 42mm wide by 2mm thick. Honey brown flint pebble with multiple removals. It has either been used as a source for microliths or it is a tool or core that was abandoned due to excessive fracturing. Mid Mesolithic to early Bronze Age in date (c6500 to c1500 BC). The length is 27mm, width 16mm, thickness 11mm, and the weight is 7.6g. A number of chert lithic items, & a few flint ones, have also been found in the vicinity. John Hallam directed a dig in the area some time ago. Neolithic white flint blade. Two adjoining pieces of the blade were found, the proximal end is absent. They have differing degrees of patination & the distal section has evidence of extensive retouching after the break. 1 - distal end; length 15mm, width 14mm, depth 2.5mm, weight 0.7g. 2 - middle section; length 16mm, width 7mm, depth 2.5mm, weight 0.4g. Mesolithic to early Bronze Age worked white quartz or quartzite scraper. Its overall plan is D shaped, with the straight edge being the working edge. Due to the nature of it crystal structure, this material is hard to date from its working. As it bears a similarity to a D shaped scraper, it would be reasonable to assume that its most likely date of manufacture was late Neolithic to early Bronze Age. Dating to between c7000 to c1601 BC, probably to between c2700 and c1601 BC. The length is 10mm, width 10mm, and the thickness 5mm.
