A complete though probably unfinished stone axehead probably a roughout of Neolithic date, c. 3500 - 2100 BC discovered below the foundations of a cottage garden wall. The axehead is possibly of the Graig Lwyd Group VII axe - the patina looks the type and the white speckles on a blue-grey matrix is typical of the rock type or it could be an epidiotised greenstone Group VI Langdale axe. A flint thumb-nail scraper of very late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age date c.2400-2100 BC. The flint is sub-rounded save for the striking platform edge. It has has short scaled abrupt retouch around the entirety of the rounded edges. The ventral face has been heavily rework to flatten the bulb of percussion with long invasive low angled retouch. Almost all the striking appears to be with heavy hammer technology. The scraper is a limid reddish yellow with mottling possibly from being exposed. Two pieces of heat affected stone and iron pan found near LANCUM-177CC5, possibly a Riley Type 5 late Neolithic scraper, and probably of a similar period. Both pieces have been heat effected and exhibit signs of thermal fracture. One of the stones has orange ochre within the iron pan & this has been rubbed into concavity, possibly for use as a pigment. Probably a copper axe of simple form dating to the Chalcolithic (Copper Age) also known as the very early Bronze Age 2,400 to 2,100 BC often called the Beaker period. Tertiary chert waste flake probably Mesolithic or Neolithic 6500-2900 BC struck off a prepared platform. Bulb of percussion and percussion waves on the ventral face; multiple arises on the dorsal face. The colour is dark grey with light grey patches. The length is 30mm, width 18mm, depth 10mm, and the weight 4.75g.

Flint knife blade possibly Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic 6500-2900 BC imported as flint is not naturally occurring in this area. The flint is a caramel colour with 5 blade scars and is worked on both edges. The length is 3.5mm in length and 1.5mm in width.

Black Pennines chert scraper possibly Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic 6500-2900 BC. The chert is a dull black in colour with traces of the original white banding at the distal end. The surface reveals traces of weathering but this would be consistent with the original working of the weathered face for extraction. There are sources of black chert in the South Pennines. The chert is worked on 3 faces and the proximal point has been worked into a long narrow tapering point now broken suggesting a kind of boring tool. The length is 4mm in length and 2mm in width.
