Gold signet finger ring of modern date (c. 1854 - 1931 AD). The finger ring has a rectangular-sectioned hoop which tapers away from the bezel. The narrowest point of the hoop has been cut in a straight, transverse line. The bezel of the finger ring is in the shape of a square shield and contains a dark-green inlay with an recessed design of a boar, pierced by a sword, with a downwards-pointing arrow above and below it, all within a shield; this is the arms of the Swainson family.
