A copper alloy cast chip carved mount, probably of early medieval origin. It is circular, with a circular border around the outside face. Within this is a design which comprises of representations of possibly four, intertwined animal hybrids. The bodies of the animals are formed of three contoured lines, interlaced in a square in the centre of the field. Roman to Medieval copper alloy mount. It is square in plan and sub rectangular in section. It is decorated in relief with a flower that consists of four lentoid petals extending to each corner from a central boss. The central pellet retains the original black finish. On one edge there is a raised border but this is either absent or lost from the other three edges. The reverse face is still fully coated in black but is otherwise undecorated although there are remnants of a lip, up to 1.5mm high, on three edges. Cast copper alloy mount fragment, possibly dating from the early medieval period, that is the 8th or 9th century AD. It is very worn, with an undecorated reverse and decorated obverse. It is slightly curved. All edges show signs of breaks. the obverse is decorated with a moulded face surrounded by an intricate interlace pattern. Description: The mount consists of a silver sheet disc riveted to a bronze base-plate of similar diameter with a sub-triangular projection at each quadrant; width, 46.2mm (max). The disc is folded round the edges of the base-plate, except at the projections, where it is cut roughly straight across. Cast cu-alloy mount, possibly silvered. There are two large rectangular loops on the reverse, as well as a two smaller pierced lugs. The obverse is very corroded and much of the cast(?) decoration is lost. The centrepiece, held in place by a rivet(?) is missing, but there are very faint remains of intricate zoomorphic design (?) on the outer rim. Also, parts of silvering remain.

Openwork symmetrical bronze mount. Triangular in plan with one incuse side. A pair of countersunk holes at the centre. Pierced with single small hole at each apex. Small spur-like projections to either side of the apices.

Openwork symmetrical bronze mount. Central design of adjoining opposed C's decorated with incised lines each containing an openwork 'eye'. Perforated oval projection to either. Flat on the back. Resembles a face with prominent eyes if positioned vertically. Decorated in abstract Ringerike-style motifs and, as such, broadly 11th century in date.
