A copper alloy harness fitting or hanging mount (fob or dangler) of late Iron Age or early Roman date (c100 BC - AD 80). It is a circular decorative mount with a three armed or triskele design. The object is openwork and is likely to have had a circular frame (most of this is now missing), what survives is slightly distorted. Equally spaced around this frame are three circular bosses. These are joined by an S shaped scroll to the centre of the object, which also has a circular boss. The reverse is broadly flat and undecorated. There is no obv…

A cast copper-alloy bucket mount of probable Iron Age - Romano British date.
The mount is cast three-dimensionally and is in the form of a bovine head.
The head has two truncated forward-facing horns, below which, are two moulded circular eyes. On either side of the head, a raised line runs down the side of the face from the horns to the snout, terminating in a spiral that forms the nostrils.
Projecting from the top of the head is a broken circular suspension loop, likely for the handle of the bucket.
The reverse is hollow.

A piece of what appears to be copper alloy slag. It has a high metal content and is very heavy for slag but seems too irregular for a finished piece. There are small bubbles in the piece and a rounded hollow seems to be the result of a large bubble. There is a loop at one end and a shaped tail at the other.

An incomplete cast copper alloy harness/strap union or junction dating to the Iron Age. One strap bar is missing due to old breaks. The object has a central plate formed from two opposed crescents which are dome-shaped in cross-section. Between the crescents is a central perforation with an internal diameter of 10mm.
At either side of the plate are the remains of strap bars, one of which is mostly missing due to old breaks leaving two small rounded lugs. The complete strap bar has semi-circular lugs which extend from the centre of each crescent of the plate and are set at an angle o…

Object type: SPINDLE WHORL
Broad period: IRON AGE
County: Gwynedd
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A perforated sub-circular object bearing incised decoration on one side. It is presumed to be a weight, possibly a spindle whorl, although it has been made from a light-weight, pumice-like material, which is granular in texture and has a mottled appearance.
Each side of the object has an uneven surface and a number of chips around the edge. Although there is decoration on one side, the other side has at least one groove running across it. The weight is irregular in shape and the perforation is worn to a greater extent on the undecorated side.
It may be a spindle whorl made from …
