A bifacial square copper alloy Post Medieval coin weight (1.84g), of the Low Countries. The obverse is marked with a shield within a trilobe. The reverse is badly abraded but depicts a figure standing left holding a staff, possibly St Philip. Likely a weight for a Postulaatsgulden or Philipsgulden or, given the weight, a half fraction of such denominations. Circa late 15th / early 16th century.

A post-medieval water-worn body sherd, all original surface missing. The fabric is creamy-white in colour and sandy, with numerous small, medium and large inclusions, many of which have been eroded out. The outside, convex surface has a band of three moulded and parallel decorative ridges. It measures 102.4mm in length, 82.6mm in max.width, 23.6mm in max.thickness (at the moulded decoration; otherwise 8.8mm thick) and weighs 164g (to the nearest 2g). Its size suggests it was probably part of a large storage jar or similar.

It is cylindrical in shape with a bulbous terminal, measuring 10.1mm at the worn break and expanding to max.14.8mm in diameter. The terminal has a flattened end topped with a c.1.5mm thick end-cap, 8.9mm in diameter. The object measures 32.1mm in incomplete length, max.14.8mm in width and thickness and weighs 6.62g.

An early-Modern (c. 1800 - 1950) blue-glazed ceramic cube, a gaming piece for playing 'fivestones', 'knucklebones', 'alloy gobs' or 'alley cubes', a Victorian game similar to jacks. Two opposing faces are flat with a thick blue glaze. The remaining faces are white speckled with blue and decorated each with two deep parallel equidistant grooves. The object measures 16.1mm in height, 17.1mm in width, 17.0mm in thickness and weighs 8.05g.

An incomplete post-medieval glass seal from a German spa water bottle, probably dating to c.1720-70 as suggested by Hulme (2001) but perhaps extending into the 19th century (see Notes below). The design is a crowned shield of arms of the province of Waldeck-Pyrmont with the legend PYR[MONT] WATER around. It measures 45.8mm in length, 38.7mm in width, 8.7mm in max.thickness and weighs 18.00g.

The sherd has moulded decoration, consisting of a gladiator left looking right. Oswald 1937:77 Plate XLIX fig. 1020---1022. The same motif is found on a Drag. 37 bowl by the potter Germanus i. The fragment has a pink fabric and is coated in a red slip on both the inside and outside which is heavily abraded with most of the slip worn away from the high points of the moulded decoration.
