A complete flint Core Rejuvenation Flake of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in plan and concavo-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains multiple negative scars with corresponding arrises and retained cortex along distal edge. Lithic has a rectangular void, possibly caused by natural processes. The distal end is flat and the proximal end tapers to a point. The ventral surface is slightly concave. The flake retains a minor amount of cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is grey in colour with cream inclusions throughout, the cortex …

A group of two complete flint pieces of debitage of probable Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithics are sub-rectangular in plan and section. The dorsal surfaces both retain minor amount of cortex. Both left and right hand edges have a minor amount of semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surfaces have multiple small negative scars. The flakes retains a minor amount of cortex along the distal left hand edge and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is light grey in colour with cream inclusions, the cortex is cream in colour

A complete flint Core Rejuvenation Flake of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface has three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises and retained cortex along the left hand edge. The right hand edge forms a projecting spur, caused by hinged flake removal. The proximal end tapers inward while the distal end is a flat, partial striking platform. Ventral surface is slightly concave. The flake retains a minor amount of cortex along the dorsal surface left hand edge and is therefore a secondary fla…
