An incomplete copper alloy shoe buckle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1720-1790). The object is concave in section and ovate in plan. The frame is composed of two parallel ovate frames which join at eight points which gives the overall appearance of openwork decoration. The frame has an integral decoration of molded foliage at the points at which the two frame aspects meet. Between the foliage, on both frames, is a repeating pellet decoration.
