A cast lead-alloy spindle whorl of Medieval date, c. 1200-1500.
The spindle whorl has been crudely cast into an elongated and irregular hemisphere with a circular perforation through it.

A lead spindle whorl of medieval or post medieval date. The spindle whorl is flat circular and possesses a central circular perforation. The upper surface of the whorl has moulded decoration comprising four lines forming a cross and dividing the whorl into quarters. In each quarter, there is a small circular moulding. The whol measures 22mm in diameter and has a thickness of 3mm.
