A rim sherd of Roman coarseware, possibly from a jar of Black Burnished ware (c. AD 100-410). The fabric is dark brownish-grey to black with a light brownish-grey core and abundant coarse sandy/grit inclusions (<0.4mm). The rim is everted and 7.35mm thick. Part of the body remains beneath the rim. One side of the sherd is clearly burnished. All breaks are worn.   Overall dimensions: 24.32mm in length, 45.02mm in width, 11.64mm in thickness and 12.04g in weight.

A ceramic body sherd from a Severn Valley Ware vessel of uncertain type, dating to the Roman period (c. AD 55-410). Ther sherd is sub-triangular in plan and formed from a soft fabric with a reduced grey colour at its core and a lighter buff orange exterior surface. It has frequent red stone and occasional quartz inclusions (<c.0.3mm) .  Overall dimensions: 21.05mm in length, 14.60mm in width, 6.03mm in thickness and 1.60g in weight.

A moulded clay pipe bowl and heel, with a short fragment of stem remaining. The bowl is complete, and in profile the bowl leans forwards at c. 35 º. It is a short bowl with convex sides, particularly the lower edge. The only decoration on the bowl is a single incomplete rouletted line bordering the rim of the bowl. The heel is sub-circular in plan, but is undecorated. The bowl measures 38.65mm long from rim to heel, and the bowl is 19.27mm wide. It weighs 8.8g. A sherd from a pottery vessel of probable late medieval to early post-medieval in date. The sherd is a rim and body sherd from a wheel thrown pot, probably a storage jar. The sherd has been glazed with a dark brown/black lead glaze and decorated with three raised circular dots created by stamping. The fabric is orange in colour with minimal inclusions, apparently of shell and grog. It measures 44.64 mm in length, 38.67 mm wide, 12.86 mm thick and weighs 23.9 grams.

Two ceramic possible handmade vessel sherds, probably dating from the Roman – Medieval period, between AD 43 – 1500 (varying thickness: 11.5mm – 26.5mm; collective weight: 125.0g).These sherds (the largest piece may be a tile fragment) has a hard-fired and roughly textured fabric with a pitted surface. The fabric is light brown/ grey in colour and contains numerous large and small quartz/ grit inclusions. These sherds could be waste products and, overall, they are in a worn and poor condition.

Eleven ceramic wheel-thrown glazed vessel body sherds, dating to the Medieval perod, between AD 1200 – 1500 (varying thickness: 4.5 – 12mm; collective weight: 85.0g).Most of these vessel sherds have a hard-fired and roughly textured fabric, which is either light orange or light grey in colour. All of these sherds have a small amount of glaze remaining on one side of them, which is light/ dark green or light/ dark brown in colour. Most of the sherds also have numerous small quartz and grit inclusions in their fabric. Overall, the sherds are in a worn and poor condition.
