A fragment of fire-cracked stone or possible 'pot boiler' of unknown exact date. The fragment is roughly pyramidal in shape with a thick and two thinner layers of quartzite between a hard, reddish, fine-grained stone. The thick quartzite layer shows clear cracking caused by heat.  It is possible this stone was used in the heating of large quantities of water or was in the formation of a hearth. A stone axe dating from the Neolithic period. The axe has been ground from a fine grained igneous greenstone, probably from a volcanic ash deposit. The patina of the surface of the axe is a green/grey, whilst damage shows a dark grey interior. The surface of the axe is quite badly scuffed, chipped and scarred in places, probably a result of plough damage. The axe measures 305.55 mm long, and is 51.12 wide at its widest, tapering to 25 mm wide at the haft end. It is 32 mm thick at its thickest and weighs 29.07 grams. Stone flake, possibly from a Neolithic polished stone axe. Mass: 4g, length: 30mm, width: 22mm, thickness: 6mm. Off white grey ?chert. The flake has a curved surface on c. 20% of the dorsal face, which has a smooth, lustrous appearance which may have been polished. There are also negative flake scars on the dorsal face. The ventral face has a bulb of percussion and ripples of the conchoidal fracture.

An incomplete fragment of a probable polished stone axehead, dating to the Neolithic period (length: 83mm; width: 37.2mm; thickness: 14.9mm; weight: 63.92g). This probable artefact appears to have been made of an igneous rock, possible dolerite. There are various recent scratches on the polished surface.

An incomplete polished stone axe, dating to the Neolithic period ( length: 75.3mm; width: 37.9mm; thickness: 21.1mm; weight: 82.06g). This finely grained stone could be sandstone or siltstone, as it also has a soft texture. There are various recent scratch marks on the surface, but no extensive evidence of use, posibly indicating that the artefact may not have been used.

A complete rounded, ovate quartzite pebble of probable Mesolithic date (c . 9000 - 4000 BC). One end has considerable surface damage due to the stone being utilised as a hard hammer stone. Found in an area of intense Mesolithic activity that has produced a large quantity of debitage and blade cores along with typical Mesolithic tool types. The overall dimensions are as follows: 56mm in length, 54mm in width, 41mm in thickness and 198g in weight.

The spindle whorl is slightly biconical in cross section, but appears at first glance to be conical, except the base is tapered slightly in profile. The surface of the base is slightly concave. In the centre is a vertical circular hole which is 8.49mm diametre. The whorl is circular in plan with a smooth surface, except for two cracks/indentations. The whorl is made of a fine grained, laminated silty mudstone.

A large curved piece of stone architectural fragment (143mm x 54.9mm x 51mm; weight: unknown as too heavy for scales). The only markings on the piece are two grooves (the longest being 50.9mm in length) on the inner side of the curve. It is unclear whether these markings are wear, damage or have a particular function.This fragment may date from the Medieval period.
