A ceramic body sherd from a Severn Valley Ware vessel of uncertain type, dating to the Roman period (c. AD 55-410). Ther sherd is sub-triangular in plan and formed from a soft fabric with a reduced grey colour at its core and a lighter buff orange exterior surface. It has frequent red stone and occasional quartz inclusions (<c.0.3mm) .
Overall dimensions: 21.05mm in length, 14.60mm in width, 6.03mm in thickness and 1.60g in weight.

A rim sherd of Roman coarseware, possibly from a jar of Black Burnished ware (c. AD 100-410). The fabric is reduced dark grey to black with abundant coarse sandy/grit inclusions (<0.4mm). The rim is everted and12.91mm thick. A small part of the body remains at the base of the rim. All breaks are worn.
Overall dimensions: 19.64mm in length, 38.98mm in width, 10.66mm in thickness and 8.76g in weight.

A body sherd of a greyware vessel dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-400). The sherd is sub-rectangualr in plan and is made from a dark grey fabric with a pinkish-grey core, with regular grit inclusions of <0.1mm. All breaks are well worn.

A rim sherd of Roman coarseware, possibly from a jar of Black Burnished ware (c. AD 100-410). The fabric is dark brownish-grey to black with a light brownish-grey core and abundant coarse sandy/grit inclusions (<0.4mm). The rim is everted and 7.35mm thick. Part of the body remains beneath the rim. One side of the sherd is clearly burnished. All breaks are worn.
Overall dimensions: 24.32mm in length, 45.02mm in width, 11.64mm in thickness and 12.04g in weight.

A wheel-thrown base (and side) sherd of probable Mancetter-Hartshill mortaria (54mm x 56mm with a thickness of 11.5mm at the edge of the base; weight: 45.79g). The sherd has a fine-textured and powdery fabric with an off-white core and inclusions of fine quartz and occasional red-brown and white particles grit. The grit seems to be fairly worn which may indicate that the vessel was used to a fair extent.

The sherds are two rim fragments and a body sherd. Both rims are a '¬' shape in rofile with rounded outer edge. The fabric is a mottled red/brown coloured fabric on the surfaces with a lighter coloured cores. The inclusions are frequent quartz like with a red stone, and mica.
