A degraded shard of glass from a glass vessel of probable late medieval or post-medieval date. The shard is from the body of the vessel, and it it is not large enough to determine the form of the vessel from which it came. It measures 77.9 mm long, 38.3 mm wide, 5.34 mm thick and weighs 20.6 grams.

A small fragment of pale blue/turquoise glass, probably from a glass vessel. As the piece is very small it is difficult to determine the form of the vessel from which it came, making dating problematic. However, the colour of the glass may suggest a late post-medieval to modern date.

One ceramic wheel-thrown body sherd and one rim sherd of probable brown salt-glazed stoneware, dating to the late 17th/ 18th century (thickness ranging from 16mm – 19.9mm; collective weight: 160.72g). A fine vitreous yellow-grey evenly fired stoneware body with occasional quartz inclusions, the surface colour is achieved through iron wash into which the vessel was dipped. A small wheel thrown base and side sherd of Blackware (height: 43mm; diameter of base: 43.6mm; thickness: 5.3mm; weight: 21.79g). Probably originally in the form of a small cup with multiple handles, this is a poor quality sherd which has been reasonably well-fired due to blistering near the base. The fabric is rather hard and reddish-grey in colour and have been glazed inside and out with the lead glaze probably drawing iron from the body. A small wheel thrown ceramic foot ring base sherd (41.2mm x 35.9mm; thickness: 13.8mm; weight: 15.26g). A coarseware covered on one side with a dark brown-black glaze on top of a dark red slip. The fill is salmon pink colour with sparse large inclusions. The sherd could have been used as possible kiln waste.
This sherd dates to the 18th, or even 17th century.

A dark yellow-brown glaze with dark brown splashes and marks, while the fabric is an orange colour. The vessel is well-fired, with some glaze along the breaks and edges. Possibly some sort of jug with a big diameter?

A rim and body sherd of probable Midlands Purple Ware (49mm x 51mm; thickness: 6.5mm; weight: 22.74g). A wheel-thrown and very hard fired earthenware/ stoneware. The inner side of the sherd is glazed with a lead glaze coloured with iron which has migrated from the clay body, giving a brown, black or purplish glaze. Apart from the gritty glazed inner surface, the sherd has few inclusions. Additionally, the sherd is decorated on the outside with ridges and raised spots.
