Three wheel thrown coarseware sherds (average thickness: 11-12mm; collective weight: 115.61g) with ridges or scar marks on the lesser glazed side indicating that other vessels were placed on top of or stuck to these vessels during the firing process. The glaze is dark brown - black with the inner fabric ranging from brown - grey to pink, with large gritty inclusions throughout. A thin and poorly constructed piece of probable kiln waste (52mm x 25.5mm; thickness: 7.3mm; weight: 10.88g). Very large gritty inclusions with a beige-pink coloured fabric. There is no evidence of glaze. There are two definite edges. This piece probably dates from the late 16th - early 18th century. This find was found with records WMID-458D27, WMID-467B61, WMID-46E6C5, WMID-4748D7, WMID-47DA27, WMID-482097, WMID-495752, WMID-49BD47, WMID-4A18A8 & WMID-5EC7C6.

A small wheel thrown possible foot ring base and side sherd of Blackware (49.7mm x 43.1mm; thickness: 3.6mm; weight: 14.81g). There is glaze on both sides of the vessel, as well as blistering at one end, with one hole running straight through the fabric, indicating firing at high temperatures. The fabric is rather hard and reddish-grey in colour and has been glazed inside and out with the lead glaze probably drawing iron from the body. A large wheel thrown sherd of coarseware kiln waste (91.2mm x 69.1mm; thickness: 12.2mm; weigth: 113.12g). This broken (including glaze on one of the breaks) sherd has mis-shapen and distorted during firing and have areas on one surface of bubbling/ blistering indicating very high temperatures. The sherd is poorly made with a reddish-grey fill with frequent large inclusions and small gaps. A highly vitrified and over-fired base and side Black Ware sherd (44mm x 57.1mm x 28.1mm; thickness: 11.5mm; weight: 39.97g). By firing to such a high temperature, the clay seems to have melted with the surface blistering, and the vessel has effctively become a stoneware. The sherd is most likely to be a fragment of kiln waste, dating to the late 16th - early 18th century. Black wares are essentially a soft to hard-fired thrown earthenware, and in this case, has a grey fabric colour. The lead glaze probably draws iron from the body, which gives the dark colour.
