A fragment of hand made sheet window glass from the post-Medieval period, c.1590-c.1700. The glass is uneven in thickness, with air bubbles evident and the surface is very scratched. The glass has a greenish tint and has probably come from diamond leaded windows.It measures 38.05 in length, 31.50 mm in width and is 2.07 mm thick. It weighs 3.449 grams.

Description: Silver whistle, made of thin silver sheet, well-shaped mouthpiece, square opening, tapering to the end which has been broken off. Along the length of the whistle, five projecting flanges, in silver, these with traces of gilding.

An incomplete cast copper alloy whistle of post-medieval date. The whistle is sub T-shaped in plan with a hollow, circular section. One terminal is cast in the design of an exotic bird while the other has been lost to an old break. The object is possibly a hawking whistle.
The metal has a mid reddish-brown patina and is worn. The whistle is 67.7mm long, 33.9mm wide, 9.2mm thick and weighs 30.9g.

A fragment of a silver whistle.The circular chamber from the end of the whistle only. It comprises two hemispheres with flanged edges which have been soldered together. Both hemipheres are decorated with a cinquefoil with heart-shaped foils. Both hemisheres are dented. At one side is an oval aperture where the main body of the whistle would have been attached. The form is that of a Boatswains's whistle, used for signalling on ships.

A fragment of a silver whistle that comprises part of its tube, collar and attachment loops.
The tubular whistle is made of silver sheet rolled into a cylinder and soldered lengthways along an abutting seam. One end of this tube terminates in an irregular break that has been squashed closed. The opposite terminal is also broken, slightly squashed and filled with a concreted grey material.

A complete silver boatswains or hawking whistle. At one end is the oval sounding chamber, which comprises two deep hemispheres with flanged edges which have been soldered together with a ridged girth band over the join. A possible whetstone, hone-stone or polishing stone. A shaped quartzite pebble (probably a beach pebble). The pebble has several angular facets resulting in its broadly rectilinear shape. The profile shape is pentagonal. On both of the long faces there are areas of wear at the short edges. The upper surface, where two facets join together producing a central ridge (the point of the pentagonal profile) is slightly more smooth than the other surfaces.

A fragment of a whetstone. It is square sectioned with a break at either end. One end flares out and has a long, central groove on one face. The opposite face has an angled groove at the other end. A fine grained, laminated, micaceous siltsone or mudstone.

Incomplete whetstone of probable Early Medieval or Medieval date (c.800 – 1400). The whetstone is formed from a very fine sedimentary mica rich sandstone or siltstone and bedding planes are clearly visible in the profile. Copper alloy trade weight. Probably 15th to 16th century. A small, circular, uniface weight. There are two concentric incised lines at the edge. The obverse is stamped with a crown at one edge and a lis opposite at the other edge. These stamps are over the incised bands. A small conical cast lead weight of uncertain but possibly medieval date. The weight measures 11mm in height by 16.7mm (base diameter) by 7.2mm (top diameter) and weighs 13.4g. There is a circular hole running from the top to the bottom. The hole is slightly off centre at the base. The base has two diagional grooves at one side and a third groove running across from side to side next to the hole. It is also possible that this object is a small spindle whorl for a drop-spindle.
