A medieval silver penny of William I (1066-1087), 'Two stars' type (North 845; BMC v) dating to c.AD 1074-1077, moneyer and mint unclear (blundered inscription). Ref: North 1994: 191. The coin has a crack from the edge between 11 and 12 o'clock to about the centre of the flan. The mint and moneyer for the coin are uncertain with the inscription difficult to read and quite garbled. A medieval belt mount formed from a flat plate of roughly semi-circular shape. The outer frame of the mount is corrugated and a circular aperture has been cut into the centre. Three shallow, concave collets decorate the base, two of them concealing the attachment of rivets which survive on the reverse holding a fragment of textile in place.

A medieval silver-gilt finger-ring bezel attached to a fragment of the hoop. The bezel is formed of a quatrilobe with cross-hatched decoration, with small projecting knops, one of which has broken off. The centre is set with a quatrefoil, also with cross-hatched decoration, surmounted by a small lozenge in high relief and decorated with an engraved X-shaped cross. The gilding is now worn. Maximum width: 14mm Width of hoop: 5mm.

A twisted, but complete medieval copper-alloy probable buckle plate (c. 13th century). The plate is sub-rectangular, and terminates in a protruding zoomorphic head. It is folded at the frame end; the frame is missing. There is a central cut out for the pin. The fold is short to the reverse, truncated at the first of two rivet holes; it also tapers to its end on that face, giving it a trapezoidal shape. The artefact is an irregular D-shape with prominent protruding outer edge such that it tends towards the sub-trapezoidal. A complete copper-alloy swivel strap fitting of medieval date c. 1200-1400. The fitting comprises a pair of D-shaped loops which are connected in such a way that they can each swivel. Each loop has with zoomorphic heads biting a central internal boss. The heads have prominent brows and expanded jaws. One of the bosses has an integral bolt that emerges from the centre of its base, the bolt narrower than the base of the boss. The ring has a square bezel the front of which rises evenly in a four sided pyramid the top point of which is formed by the four sided diamond embedded in the bezel.
