An incomplete sheet copper alloy two-piece strap-end of medieval date. It is of tapering rectangular form with a small pointed projection at the bottom edge. The front plate is complete and the back plate is broken. It has two rivets, one at centre top and one at centre bottom. It is undecorated.

An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end. A fragment of a composite strap end with forked spacer.All that remains is a fragment of the forked spacer from a circular strap end with a stylised acorn knop at the end. Both the arms of the spacer are broken off, but one side retains a longer remnant and this has a small, circular pierced hole. A large cast copper alloy strap end. A composite strap end with forked spacer. The strap end comproses two flaring, rectangular plates with incurved edges at one end. Between them is a forked spacer with a flat trefoil knop at the end. There is a single attachment hole in the middle of the incurved upper edge. There are traces of and iron rivet in this. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end. The front plate from a composite strap end with openwork decoration. The attachment edge is scalloped and has a round aperture. The distal end is rounded. There is a rectangular aperture joined to a circular aperture above, cut into the middle of the plate. The front surface appears to be tinned or silvered. There is a single rivet hole at the centre of the distal end which contains iron corrosion product from the original rivet. A copper-alloy composite strap-end of medieval date. The attachment end comprises the upper three quarters of the strap-end. Here, the front and backplates are of equal form, being sub-rectangular, their sides converging slightly, towards the bottom. An incomplete cast copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The strap end is roughly rectangular in shape with a tapering, squared off terminal to one end. To the opposite end, despite being broken, the remains of two rivet holes can be seen. One face of the strap end is decorated with an incised zoomorphic image, possibly that of a dragon, though the design is very crude. The reverse is undecorated. The metal is a dark brownish-green colour and survives in good condition. The strap end is 49.4mm wide and weighs 1.2g.

A copper-alloy plate from a medieval strap-end. This is the upper plate from a composite strap-end. It is sub-rectangular in plan, with a geometric pattern of serrated grooves on its upper surface. One of these grooves extends vertically downwards from the base of a V-shaped notch at the centre of the irregular top side.The front of the plate has an olive green patina, while the back has a grey/green patina and possible traces of solder. Dimensions are: Length 37 mm. Width 16.2 mm Thickness 1.1 mm. Weight 3.478 grams.

A composite sheet metal strap end with forked spacer. The tongue-shaped strap end comprises two tapering plates with scalloped upper edges and a rounded ends with small central projection. The plates are soldered on to a forked spacer. At the top is a single rivet for attachment to the missing strap. Copper alloy oval strap end with silver inlay decoration. A very worn strap end with a tapered zoomorphic terminal and silver decoration on the plate. The terminal is very worn, but traces of slight recesses for the eyes can be seen . It is thickened from the body of the strap end which is thin and flat. A cast copper alloy strap-end of early-medieval date. The Thomas Class B strap-end measures 54.2mm by 8.6mm (a width to length ratio of 1:6.3) by 4mm and weighs 6.7g. It has a split proximal end, a gently tapering shaft and a zoomorphic terminal. The split end is flatter and wider. The strap-end is very worn and the decoration cannot be easily discerned.
