Lead/tin alloy solid cast button with separate embedded drawn wire shank. A biconvex button with hammered faceting at the equator edge. The button is indented around the attachment point of the looped wire shank. Similar in construction to types illustrated in B Read, 2005, Metal Buttons, p. 23 (Nos. 74 and 75). Read states that such buttons possibly date from the medieval period but that similar types are found in 17th century contexts (ibid) Therefore, this is cautiously dated as Post-medieval, 16th to 17th century. A cast lead alloy finger ring of probable late medieval date. The hoop measures 23.3mm in diameter, 3.5mm in width and 2mm in thickness. The damaged rectangular bezel measures 13mm by 8.6mm and the ring weighs 4.2g. The hoop has a D-shaped cross-section, with an external curve. It widens slightly to meet with the bezel which is flanked by a transverse line on each side and is decorated with an incised saltire cross. A number of finger rings with this general form can be seen in part 1 of the 'Salisbury Museum Catalogue' (Saunders 1991, p. 46, fig. 12, nos. 17, 18 and 19).

A fragment of a lead alloy or pewter trifid spoon. The trifid end only survives. The central lobe projects to an angled point at the end. The side lobes are more obtusely angled and are shorter then the central lobe/ Both faces are decorated. On one side in the centre is a deeply moulded stylised rayed sun with a human face. On the other side the central lobe has less deeply cast decoration comprising a crown in the central lobe, a winged figure facing inwards in each of the side lobes and at the centre is a profile bust facing left, bearded and with waved hair. A cast lead-alloy steelyard weight of probable Roman date. The weight is pear shaped and has a vertical aperture at its centre. This aperture is of square scross section and is filled with impacted soil. The base of this weight has a sub-rectangular indentation which may be a nail head imprint. An iron nail was found nearby (see photograph) and such a nail may originally have been inserted into the weight's central aperture, with the projecting point bent to form a loop.
