An incomplete copper alloy developed T-shaped brooch. The brooch comprises the head, partial wings and bow, The head of the brooch retains one cylindrical wing, the right has broken off) decorated at the end with incised vertical lines. The wings housed the missing axis bar for the hinged pin mechanism and are divided by a central pin slot at the back. A hoard of three items dating to the Taunton phase (c.1400-1275 BC) of the Middle Bronze Age and found buried together: A complete cast bronze rapier, 535mm in total length, with a solid copper alloy hilt which has been modelled in imitation of a wooden one. An complete copper alloy finger ring.  The ring is keeled and has a blind bezel. The sloping shoulders are triangular and undecorated. The downward points of the triangles are flanked by angled projections. The band is narrow and D-sectioned. The bezel is hexagonal and decorated with stamped circular dots but it is too worn to discern any pattern. The inside of the ring is flat and smooth. An elaborate cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The frame of the openwork buckle is D-shaped, three dimensional and concave on the underside. It measures 35.23mm by 24.38mm by 18.24mm and weighs 11.33g. The back consists of a fairly thin flat D-shaped band of copper alloy, the straight edge of which is narrowed. The pin is missing. A complete cast lead alloy late medieval pilgrim badge depicting Saint Giles, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1300. A fragment from a enamelled cast copper alloy Crescentic terret of probable late Iron Age date. The fragment measures 36.8mm by 24.6mm by 12.1mm and weighs 18.44g. It consists of part of the hoop and a 10mm length of the cast-in-one copper alloy bar, which is narrowed with a circular cross-section (diameter 6.2mm).
