Areas of copper corrosion are present on the surface but it is not clearly plated and the corrosion is probably the result of the debased silver (c.50% silver or less) of this issue.

VENVS VICTRIX type with a reverse depicting Venus bare to waist, standing left, holding apple and palm and resting left elbow on shield: at her feet left Cupid. Minted at Rome. RIC IV, part 1, no. 369. Two small spots of copper-alloy corrosion product on the edge could be explained by the fact that denarii of this period only had about 50% silver.
