An incomplete post-medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg jetton probably of Hans Schultes I (fl. 1553-1584) dating c. 1553-1584. Rose/orb type with fictitious inscription. Minted at Nuremberg. See Mitchiner (1988, 401) no. 1345. This jetton has a diameter of 21.83mm, a thickness of 0.31mm and a weight of 0.517g. It has suffered significant losses to its circumference, equating to c. 15% of the original flan. It has a piercing at the edge for probable suspension, through the reverse. The hole is located at 12 o'clock on the obverse, corresponding to 4 o'clock on the reverse.
