A copper-alloy miniature toy matchlock musket. The toy has been cast in one piece and has a 'fishtail' butt, faceted barrel (hollow), open pan and incomplete rectangular trigger guard. on the right face of the barrel nearest the pan is a cast vertical ridge. The left side of the barrel is broken open, possibly as a result of a mishap in use. Dimensions: 71.56 m x 22.07 mm x 6.92 mm Weight: 11.12 g. Post Medieval 1500 to 1700AD cast lead or lead alloy inscribed tablet, an incomplete miniature horn book showing the alphabet. Line 1 is - ABCDE; Line 2 is - FG (reversed)HIK; Line 3 is - LMNOP; Line 4 is - QRSTVX; Subsequent lines are missing. Based on the contents and style of the alphabet, probably dates to between c1500 and c1700 AD. An incomplete cast Post-Medieval lead toy, possible toy whistle, dating to AD 1600 - 1900. The body is cylindrical and hollow with decorative projections and handle. The cylinder flares outwards slightly towards one end, there is an off-centre hole visible at both ends and probably running through the length of the cylinder, this is wider at the flared end. A copper alloy toy cannon. The toy cannon is comprised of a circular barrel which tapers slightly in diameter towards the muzzle. At the butt is a rounded, necked knob (cascabel button). Beyond this are two convex collars (the first deeper than the second) with a narrowed section between in which is the circular touch hole (for igniting the explosive charge to fire the piece). An incomplete, copper alloy bar with integral loop possibly a toy musket of 17th Century date. The bar is sub-oval in cross-section with one end tapered and flattened on both sides.The bar has an integral loop projecting on the lower edge. Opposite the loop on the upper surface the bar is decorated with four incised lines and a V with the point facing the flattened end. A fragment of a possible lead toy, probably dating to c.1600-1900. The object is cylindrical, consisting of a tapering, hollow,oval, tube tapering to a slotted terminal at one and expanding to an open, broken end at the other. A miniature or toy tripod cauldron. A hollow, globular vessel with a wide, flared rim. There were two rounded suspension handles, one only survives. At the rounded base are the remnants of three equally spaced legs, one of which is complete, one is plain and slightly tapering to a rounded foot. Date: Medieval to Post Medieval - c. 1400 - 1700. Dimensions: 16.54 mm x 15.83 mm. Weight: 12.49 g.
