A flint side and end scraper of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a secondary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is the bulb of percussion and a bulbar scar. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface from this point. The flake has been retouched around the distal end and part of the way up both sides, removing some of the remaining cortex in one area. The light brownish-grey flint has a mid-gloss patina.

A flint end scraper of probable early Bronze Age date. The scraper has been made from a tertiary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform and below this on the ventral surface is the bulb of percussion and a bulbar scar. Slight ripples radiate down the ventral surface from this point. The flake appears to have been retouched at the distal end, but this end having become worn the proximal end was retouched to create a new scraping edge. A flint end scraper/point of probable Neolithic or early Bronze Age date. The implement has been made from a thick secondary waste flake. At the proximal end is the striking platform, and the bulb of percussion and a pronouced bulbar scar on the ventral surface. A thick flint blade of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. The blade is a secondary waste flake. At the proximal end is the probable striking platform, a very slight bulb of percussion and a bulbar scar. Ripples radiate down the ventral surface. On the dorsal surface there are three main flaking scars. Flaking along the long edges is probably damage rather than deliberate retouch. There is a small area of cortex at the proximal end. The mid brownish-grey flint has a mid-gloss patina.

A flint waste flake of probable Neolithic to early Bronze Age date. The flake has clearly been deliberately struck as is evidenced by the striking platform and bulb of percussion at the proximal end and the bulbar scar on the dorsal surface. There are a number of flaking scars on the dorsel surface. The mid greyish-brown flint has a mid-gloss patina.

A single flint waste flake found during casual observation of groundworks for a pipe line at Higher Weathergrove, Sandford Orcas. It is probably of Neolithic or early Bronze Age date. It has a small area of cortex remaining at the distal end, bulb of percussion and slight ripples on the ventral surface and two flaking scars on the dorsal surface. It also has some edge damage. The light grey flint has a mid-gloss patina.

A flint waste flake of probable Neolithic date. The flake has clearly been struck with concoidal rings on every surface except one which retains cortex. Damage around the edges is unlikely to represent retouch. The flint is light grey in colour with only a slight patina. It measures 30.18 x 24.48 x 5.58mm thick (4.17g).

A middle to late Bronze Age flint scraper. The shape is almost sub-tetrahedral and the flint has a light grey patina. It is not clear if all three edges display retouch or if there is damage to one or more edges. It measures 48.22 x 46.17 x 24.34mm thick (50.11g).

A side and end scraper of probable Bronze Age date. The flint is greenish grey in colour with large buff patches. It is approximately 'D' shaped with re-working around the three curved edges. The back of the implement (proximal end)is roughly vertical and the ventral surface is unworked. The scraper measures 42.70mm long, 37.44mm wide, 11.87mm thick and weighs 24.28g.

A possible denticulated scraper dating from the Middle-Late Bronze Age. It comprises a large part of a flint nodule with cortex surviving on all sides except the ventral surface, which is flat and smooth. One edge appears to have been coarsely re-worked to form a rough scraper. However, the edge seems very sharp and new and it may be that this effect has occurred 'naturally' through the action of vehicles running over the object. Flint does not occur naturally in this area but the object was found in the verge of a lane and it may have been imported as rough metalling. The object meas…

A small burnt fragment of what was probably a Neolithic blade. Unfortunately the fragment is so small that this identificstion cannot be certain, it is possible that it is from a waste flake. The burning has caused some 'crazing' on the dorsal surface and a spall to be removed from the ventral surface. The dorsal surface appears to have three parallel facets. The fragment is burnt to a light blueish grey colour throughout. The object measures 13.70mm x 16.56mm x 4.25mm and weighs 0.89g.
