A sub-ovoid piece of burnt flint, possibly used as a prehistoric pot boiler. The surface is a greyish white with a crazed surface consistent with the heating and rapid cooling of flint. A number of flint implements have been found in the immediate area dating from the Mesolithic: Neolithic and the Bronze Age. Length: 53.06 mm. Width: 36.51 mm. Thickness: 28.01 mm. Weight: 63 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and it is possible that this is simply an accidentally burned stone.

The flint has lost most of the external crazed surface due to weathering, but a small area remains next to the surviving cortex. The object has a greyish/white patina with a strip of brown/grey cortex. Length of flint: 45.15 mm. Width: 43.77 mm. Thickness; 31.27 mm. Weight: 65 grams. FLO comment: The evidence for such stones having been used as pot boilers is limited, and this may simply be an accidentally burned stone.

A sub-ovoid piece of burnt flint/chert, possibly used as a pot boiler. The flint has been weathered, with much of the original surface degraded. Two of the faces still retain the white crazed finish which is consistant with a heating and rapid cooling cycle. It has a length of 31.85 mm, is 29.09 mm wide and weighs 42 grams.
