An Early Medieval stirrup strap mount (Williams Class a, type 8) dating to the 11th century. A cast copper alloy, sub-triangular mount. It has three attachment holes, one set below the apex ant the other two at the base, above the right-angled flange. The lower two holes retain the corroded traces of iron fixings. An Early Medieval zoomorphic stirrup terminal dating to the 11th century. A cast copper alloy, hollow backed terminal. It is in the form of a beast's head with large ears, protruding eyes and a long, rounded muzzle. At the end of the muzzle, the snout is rounded and protruding There is a ridge running back from it along the centre of the head, ending between the eyes. Copper alloy buckle frame. An elongated D-shaped, single loop buckle frame. The pin is missing. The sides and outer edge of the frame are cast with Urnes style decoration. This comprises an asymmetrical design of interwoven sinuous interwoven beasts.The back is undecorated and slightly concave. The bar is slightly off-set from the frame and has a rectangular cross section. Dating from the late early medieval period, the second half of the 11th century (identified by Dr Kevin Leahy). Earthen ware pottery fragment length 86mm, width 96mm, thickness 15mm, weight 117.8g. Reduced dark grey fabric with frequent mica, occasional black grog tempering <2mm, infrequent lime stone inclusions. Grey core, buff exterior. Straight side walls, there is a lip below the rim which has an undulating outside edge and stabbed decoration on the top edge. The vessel would have had a sagging base. this type of vessel would have been made in the north Gloucestershire/Worcestershire area and dates to the 11th-12th century.

Rim of a medieval pottery jar. A sagging based cooking jar. Lorraine Mepham has identified this as 10th to 12th century in date and originating from Southern England, possibly Hampshire. The fabric has a slightly soapy texture and is coarsely tempered with abundant limestone and occasional flint and grog. The fabric is reduced and grey in colour, and there are patches of orange-brown oxidisation on the external surface. The rim is tall, slightly everted and plain. Cast, copper alloy stirrup strap mount. Williams Class A Type 1 mount. The mount is pentagonal in shape with small lobes either side at the base and towards the apex. The apex loop is broken with part of the attachment hole remaining. The front of the mount is decorated with a lightly incised symmetrical design of two entwined beasts formed from narrow bodies with union knots and lobes. A cast copper alloy pin of probable Middle early-medieval date. The end of the shaft has broken off and in its current state the pin measures 37mm in length and weighs 2.4g. It has a thirteen faceted polyhedral head with a stamped ring-and-dot motif on each of the four larger lozenge-shaped vertically-set sides. It has no collar and it may therefore possibly be of Roman rather than early-medieval date. However, the design is typically Middle Anglo-Saxon and there are close parallels from Hamwic (Hinton 1996, p. 22, nos. 4/2 and 169/1163).

A stirrup-strap mount of Williams Class A, Type 4. The mount has an iron rivet at its apex and this has, unusually, been covered with a separate copper alloy dome. Two iron rivets survive at the base and that on the left shows signs of having been similarly covered. A complete copper alloy escutcheon from a hanging bowl. The escutcheon has a tear-drop shaped body shape with an integral hook projecting from the wider end. The hook is curved and in combination with the shape of the body results in the whole resembling a long-necked bird.
