A flint axehead. A flaked axehead. Made on a nodule of pale grey-brown flint, now patinated to matt off-white and with iron staining along the flake ridges. A rounded flint scraper made on an elongate, secondary flake. The flint is mottled mid-dark grey and has a mid-gloss patina. The dorsal surface has a central ridge of chalky nodule cortex remaining amidst several broad flake scars. A rounded scraper made on a thick tertiary flake. The flint is mid-light mottled grey and has a low-gloss patina. On the dorsal face, scaled, invasive, semi-abrupt retouch around part of one margin is well-controlled, creating a fine, curved scraping edge.
