A copper-alloy Roman finger-ring with glass intaglio, Henig type II, dating to c. AD 100-300. The bezel is wide and oval and tapers smoothly into the shoulders. The base of the hoop has apparently been cut, but then the ends overlapped to close it. In the centre of the bezel is a recess that holds an oval, split (light on top, dark beneath), blue intaglio (11 by 9 mm) the back of which can be seen through a hole in the back of the bezel.
