A flint axehead. A flaked axehead. Made on a nodule of pale grey-brown flint, now patinated to matt off-white and with iron staining along the flake ridges. Flaked on both faces from the edges, butt and cutting edge. All the cortex has been removed. The side edges are largely straight. It has a wide, slightly convex, cutting edge formed by flake removals from the edge into the body of the axehead. The axe tapers to the butt and has a lentoid cross section. There is some slight damage to the butt.

A Neolithic discoidal scraper struck from a tertiary flake of grey flint, 47.3mm in length. The distal edge terminates in a hinge fracture and the sides and proximal end have been worked into scraping edges with short, semi-abrupt sub-parallel retouch. There is a notch at the proximal end next to the striking platform, which most likely derives from post depositional damage.

A probable flint knife or possibly a leaf-shaped arrowhead blank. A bifacialy worked flake tool made on a tertiary flake of mottled pale grey and off-white flint with a low-gloss patina. Thje flake is slightly curved and retains flake scar ridges on the dorsal face and the remnant of the bulb of percussion on the ventral face. It has been modified with semi-invasive, regular, sharpening retouch on three margins and around the two ends. One margin on one face retains the original flake edge. There is no evidence of systematic working to remove the bulb of percussion. suggesting this is…

A sub-rectangular flint scraper. Made on a tertiary flake of dark orange-brown to beige flint with a covering yellowed mid-gloss patina. There is a remnant of the striking platform retained at the proximal end and a pronounced bulb of percussion on the ventral face. There are remnant flaking scars on the dorsal surface. Around 75 percent of the outer edge, extending along both side margins and around the distal end, has irregular, semi-invasive to steep retouch struck from the ventral face, creating a slightly asymmetrical scraping edge which has become overhanging at the distal end.

A flint core. A single platform bladelet core of irregular shape, but tending towards conical. Made from a piece of mid grey mottled nodule flint with a low gloss patina. There is some thick, off-white cortex remaining at the pointed base. The odd shape is probably due to the presence at one side of an irregular void which prevented this side from being worked further. The rest of the "conical" surface is covered in multiple converging bladelet removal scars. The flakes have been removed from a single platform. The edges of the core are damaged, possibly from re-use as a scraper. Ther…
