A post-medieval silver three-halfpence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603). Second coinage (North 2000). Initial mark: ermine, dated 1572 (on coin). Mint of London (Tower). North (1975, 112).
The coin has been slightly bent. It measures 15.18mm in diameter, 0.34mm in thickness, and weighs 0.432g. It has been pierced, probably for re-use as an item of jewellery just within the inner circle through the obverse at around 3 o'clock, corresponding to around 12 o'clock on the reverse.
