A probably medieval lead mend for a pottery vessel. An irregularly shaped piece lead with one large plate and one smaller. The larger plate is sub-triangular with a smoothed surface and a slightly chamfered edge around it (5.55 mm thick). The smaller plate is much thinner (1.87 mm thick) and also roughly triangular. It has a more uneven surface. At one side the plates appear to be joined and there are also two thin bars of lead joining the together at another. A lead pot mend. The object is in the form of a crude lead stud with a convex, wide haed in one side and a smaller, flatter disc on the other. Remains of the ceramic fabric are visible in the recess between the two ends, but it is not possible identify the pottery type or closely date it. Date: Medieval to Early Post Medieval - c. 1200 - 1600 The pot mend measures 34.69mm in length and is 14.75mm thick. It weighs 48.60 grams.

An incomplete lead vessel of unknown date. The remains are 68.20mm in height, 65.70 in width and the object has walls between 2.50mm and 4mm thick. It weighs c80g. What is extant is the top part (shoulders and some part of the walls) of what appears to have been a three sided vessel, the spout still in place. The inside of the vessel shows no sign of what it might have held, or enclosed.
