Fragment from a copper alloy vessel. This is a large vessel leg probably from a cauldron. The fragment consists of the foot and part of the leg, which is has an irregular break at the top. The leg is tri-lobate in section with a rounded, prominent ridge running up the centre of the front of the leg. The back of the leg is flat. The foot projects forwards from the leg and has a triangular profile. The base of the foot apears mis-cast and is slightly hollowed and rough.The surface of the leg is quite pitted and bumpy. The foot is also D shaped in section with five moulded 'toes' running down the front giving a scalloped lower edge and a flat back. A cast copper alloy object which is probably the terminal from the drop handle from a vessel of later medieval or early post-medieval date. The zoomorphic terminal measures 23.4mm by 17mm by 14.8mm and weighs 24.4g. Both ends are flat with a off-centre hole which is much narrower at the mouth end. The terminal appears to be moulded to resemble a dog, with diagonally orientated leaf-shaped ears, sunken eyes, slightly narrowed snout, upwards projecting nose and open mouth. An incomplete cast copper-alloy cooking vessel leg/foot from the medieval to post-Medieval period, circa 1200-1650. The leg fragment consists of a splayed sub-triangular base with a vertical central ridge and tapered leg, which is oval in section at the break. The back is convex and the break is not recent. The object has a semi matt green patina with areas of sooting with some soil impaction. Height: 33.07 mm. Width: 40.47 mm. Thickness: 24.42 mm. Weight: 101 grams. An incompete cast copper-alloy cooking vessel leg/foot of medieval to post-Medieval date, circa 1200-1650 . The leg fragment consists of a splayed and angled base with a prominent central ridge. In section, the base is sub-triangular,with a flat back and tapered sides. The top is very worn at the break and with the patina suggests this is not a recent break.There is evidence of sooting and the object has a green patina with some soil impaction. Height: 57.30 mm. The leg fragment consists of a thickened and splayed foot with a vertical central ridge. In section, the base is sub-oval, the top is roughly D-shaped, with the ridge to the back of the D. The break has a degraded green/brown patina which matches the other surfaces,suggesting this is not a recent break.There is evidence of sooting at the base of the leg. Height: 57.93 mm. An incomplete cast copper-alloy domestic cooking vessel leg of medieval to post-Medieval date, circa 1250-1750. In section, the leg is roughly eliptical,with a prominent vertical ridge to the front. This is a centre section of the leg with old breaks to each end which are smoothed and have a green patina. Externally from the breaks there is a coating of soot which is a common feature with open fire cooking. Height of leg: 38.83 mm Thickness: 19.96 mm. Weight: 140 grams.

A fragment of a copper-alloy rim from a domestic cooking vessel of circa1250-1750.The rim is thickened, with the top angled outwards creating a sharp rim. The curvature of the section suggests the bowl had a diameter of approximately 200-220 mm. All the breaks are well worn.and both surfaces have evidence of sooting and a green patina. Width of rim: 44.86 mm. Thickness at rim: 5.17 mm. Height: 27.27 mm. Weight: 25 grams.
