Bronze age to Medieval pottery vessel sherds.
The pottery appears hand built, has rough fabric with large gritty inclusions and lots of mica. It has a thick section and some sherds have evdience of sooting on the outer? surface.
It was found in a very tight scatter disturbed by tractor, near a Bronze Age barrow cemetery. So its probable that it is prehistoric, however pottery such as this is known in the area up to the medieval period.
