An incomplete copper alloy swivel with the remnant of an iron fixing. The object comprises a single D-shaped loop with stylised zoomorphic decoration and both ends of the curve where is joins to a flat, oval projection with an oval aperture. The aperture is filled with iron corrosion from which projects the stub of an iron fixing. The top of the loop is worn. The zoomorphic decoration is in the form of two animal heads (one at each end of the curve, gripping the sides of the base) each with moulded ears, brows, waisted muzzle and pointed snout, mouth open. A medieval cast copper-alloy possible strap fitting, dating to c. AD 1000 - 1100. The object is a ring with a thick hoop and convex crude/miscast quatrefoil bezel, flat compared to the rest of the curved hoop. The quatrefoil head is perpendicular to the hoop. It is decorated with four triangular grooves arranged in saltire, but not meeting at the centre. The quatrefoil thus created has slightly longer elements in line with the hoop than those perpendicular to it. The terminals of each part of the quatrefoil are somewhat angled. A complete copper-alloy swivel strap fitting of medieval date c. 1200-1400. The fitting comprises a pair of D-shaped loops which are connected in such a way that they can each swivel. Each loop has with zoomorphic heads biting a central internal boss. The heads have prominent brows and expanded jaws. One of the bosses has an integral bolt that emerges from the centre of its base, the bolt narrower than the base of the boss.
