Broad period: ROMAN

Workflow stage: Published
A Roman circular copper alloy and enamelled mount with a central circular hole. On the back is a pair of T-shaped projections, presumably for attachment to a strap, though this is not clear. The front of the mount has an annular cell infilled with blue enamel. Within the enamel is a series of closely-spaced white millefiori spirals. The mount is probably from horse gear.
