A fragment from a later early-medieval strap-end of 9th/10th-century date. The fragment comprises the attachment end of a tongue-shaped strap-end. The attachment end itself is recessed on both surfaces; the lower recessed area (L.: 8.0mm) is longer than the upper (L.: 5.9mm). The flaring before the recesses gives the fragment a maximum width of 3.6mm. Within the thinned section are two perforations, albeit misaligned. One is within a corner and has abraded through.
