An incomplete copper alloy hooked fitting. Possibly a dress fastener or a buckle pin. A thick bar of copper alloy with a D-shaped cross-section for much of its length, thinning into a rectangular cross section towards the hooked end. Th hooked end is tapered and bent at a right angle before curling back on itself. At the other end is also tapered and ends in a break. On one face of the bar in the centre are traces of stamped decoration of an annulet with four annulets set around it forming a rectangle. A copper-alloy mount in the form of a lion couchant modelled in relief on the front face but flat on the rear face. The front face has a slightly melted appearance as though a blob of metal has been dropped on it, with consquent loss of some decorative detail. The front paws are placed together beneath the mouth and there is no other creature pinned down beneath them, as is normal in leonine knife handles and figurines (e.g. BH-2159D4 and SWYOR-F1D5D6). A large copper alloy circular mount  dating to the later 14th to 15th century. The mount has a moulded, decorated front with a interlaced six pointed star (Seal of Solomon) filling most of the field. In the cell in the centre of the star is an enface lions head. The lion has rounded ears, moulded eyes, nose and muzzle, sticking out tongue and incised lines to the top, side and base indicating the mane. A complete Medieval copper alloy 'simple' bar mount, dating to c. AD 1250-1350. The find is rectangular in plan, and decorated on the surface with two parallel grooves to the long end, which have the reminas of a crimped design on the outer edges of the mount.
