A large flint piercer or multi tool made from a fragment of a nodule of mottled grey flint, 61.2mm in length and of Bronze Age date. The tool is triangular with a long tip which has been worked into a point using abrupt scaled retouch along one side. The proximal end has a patch of long abrupt parallel retouch which has removed the cortex and created a scraping edge, suggesting multiple functions for the tool.

A bifacially worked flint implement made on an irregular nodule of opaque mottled orangey brown flint. Areas of worn chalky cortex remain on both faces and part of one margin. The remainder of the surface comprises irregular, sometimes deep flake scars, many of which have hinge terminations. Neither the butt nor the tip are well formed and one margin appears truncated by very steep opportunistic flaking. A lithic impliment of uncertain function but probably from the Neolithic to Bronze age period. Circa 4000-1600 BC. The flint is sub-conical in shape, triangular in profile and has numerous flake removals from different angles. The distal end has a series of parallel scars (retouch). A knapped/worked flint probably dating to the Neolithic period.Circa 4000 BC-2700BC. The flint has a large bulb of percussion eminating from a broad platform. The dorsal face has numerous flake removals around what appears to be a natural flaw. A small amount of white cortex is evident to the sides. There is possibly some re-touch to one edge. The flint is a translucent grey/brown colour. Length of flint: 41.13 mm. Width: 35.61 mm. Thickness: 11.30 mm. Weight 15 grams.

Middle Neolithic to early Bronze Age discoidal flint knife, patinated white, fabricated from a tertiary flake. There is extensive retouch all round the circumference of the knife. It is short, acute to semi-abrupt, and mostly sub-parallel. The retouch has been done in various phases and there is some variation in patination suggesting reuse at a later date, probably some time in the Bronze Age. Dates to between c3500 and c1601 BC. Length 39mm, width 30mm, thickness 8mm, weight 11.2g.

An incomplete flint axehead of Neolithic date. The piece probably represents approximately half of the original tool, the patination of the break suggesting the upper portion was lost in antiquity. The axehead is pointed-oval in section, its straight sides flaring towards a convex cutting edge. On both surfaces there are smooth areas where the tool has been ground and polished; sharpening flakes, which angle down towards the sides, appear to have been struck through this surface, indicating that this is a finished piece that has subsequently been reworked. A flint blade of probable Early Neolithic date. The tool is roughly eliptical in plan, being irregular at the proximal end and tapering to a point at the distal. The dorsal surface exhibits two longitudinal arises, while the ventral surface has a bulb of percussion, located beneath a portion of the core platform, and clear rippling. The edges are mostly irregular, probably as a result of wear through use of the tool. The flint is a slightly patinated dark grey. Dimensions: 68mm long, 25.1mm wide, 3.9mm thick. Weight: 8g.

A Lower Palaeolithic 500,000 to 400,000 BC Acheulian hand axe possibly sub-cordate, knapped from dark grey flint. Flakes have been removed from both surfaces to shape the axe creating numerous scars and there is some damage possibly from glacial activity or plough. It is an elongated oval in plan, tapering toward a pointed cutting end. It has an elongated lenticular cross section with pointed edges. The edges of the axe are damaged and worn. The surfaces of the axe are a dark grey. The axe is 54mm long and the width is 30mm. The axe shares similarities with KENT-4B61A0 and ESS-144FE8.…

A chert waste flake of probable Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date. There are three longitudinal facets on the dorsal face where previous flakes have been removed from the core. There is no evidence of the flake having been retouched and used as a tool. The chert is a colour not known in this area and therefore it may have been imported from elsewhere. The flake is 62.2mm long, 40.7mm wide, 8.06 thick and weighs 19.9g.
