An incomplete copper-alloy jetton, dating from the Medieval period.
The obverse of this jetton has a depiction of the mitred bust of a bishop, who faces to the right and holds a crozier; the reverse has a short cross with quatrefoil ends.
Diameter: 20.3mm; thickness: 0.8mm. Weight: 0.85g.
No published parallel could be found for this jetton; however, it would appear to be of English manufacture and a crude copy of a type seen in PAS records BH-BD5521 and HAMP3017. These jettons are almost certainly related to Fox's Class 4 of Edward I or Class 13 of Edward II, which show the …
