Gold finger ring. A buckle ring with an internal inscription - (cross) MON (cross heart cross) AVOVS ((arrow left) in Roman capitals. The ring is in the form of a belt with a single looped buckle. An attempt has been made at a realistic representation of a belt and buckle: The "loose" end of the belt is clearly indicated so that the band appears to have an overlap at the front and a recess at the back where the belt passes "through" the buckle. A Medieval silver finger ring with moulded quatrefoil bezel. In addition to a break, the flat-sectioned hoop has a heavily worn pattern of stamped decoration on its outer surface.

A parallel for this ring is Treasure case 2003 T168, from West Dean, Wiltshire, which was dated to the 14th century.

Two gold finger rings found together.
One is a stirrup ring with a rectangular stone setting with a gold initial R over. The ring was made with the openwork R on the bezel and a rectangular slice of garnet set in a recess behind it. The back of the recess has then been infilled with a rectangular gold plate. Each of the tapering shoulders of the ring is decorated with a trefoil ended plant stem on a background of irregular cross hatching. The band is D-sectioned.

A Roman silver finger ring fragment. Please see Treasure report excerpt (by Dr Richard Hobbs) below for details.
Fragment of a Roman silver finger ring of flat sheet metal, rectangular in section. Originally the ring would have been of ovoid profile which expands to a flattened bezel; only one shoulder and part of the bezel survive. This is inscribed with a two line inscription 'AFR[.' then 'CORO[.]'. Between the two lines of inscription is a groove that bifurcates at the shoulder end. Another groove has been incised in the centre of the surviving shoulder.

A gold finger ring with an internal inscription. A posy ring. The mis-shapen band is narrow and D-sectioned. The internal inscription is in a cursive letter style and contains upper and lower case letters. It reads: Endles' like this my love is. At the end is a square stamp containing two capital letter Rs set back to back with one inverted, possibly a maker's mark.

Incomplete silver fede type ring. A fragment of silver gilt finger ring. The bezel and a small part of the band only remains. The bezel is in the form of a crowned heart with a quatrefoiol each side. The band is narrowed from the bezel . The two short sections of band (one projecting on each side of the bezel) are both moulded with two horizontal ridges on the front face which diverge around the remnant of a v-shaped aperture. The bezel has been soldered to the ends of the band (this is visible on the reverse). There are traces of gilding in several areas.

A base silver Roman finger ring dating to the period c. AD 43 - 410. The ring is D-shaped with a flat oval bezel inscribed with the legend VTERE FELIX with a horizontal groove separting the two words. The ring tapers from the shoulders to the bottom of the band. The band is smooth and undecorated.
The ring measures 19.96mm in diameter, with an internal diameter of 17.59mm. It is 1.08mm thick and weighs 2.21.

It has broad carinated shoulders and a raised, recessed circular bezel which probably originally held a glass (or possibly semi-prcious stone) intaglio (missing).
