An complete copper alloy finger ring.  The ring is keeled and has a blind bezel. The sloping shoulders are triangular and undecorated. The downward points of the triangles are flanked by angled projections. The band is narrow and D-sectioned. The bezel is hexagonal and decorated with stamped circular dots but it is too worn to discern any pattern. The inside of the ring is flat and smooth. A Post Medieval gold finger ring. A posy ring with the internal inscription Let vertue be thy guide in italic lettering. There is no maker’s or other mark. The hoop has a D-shaped cross section and is slightly distorted into an oval shape. Dimensions: 21.70 mm x 2.25 mm x 0.80 mm Weight: 1.78 g This inscription is common on rings from the later 17th to mid-18th century. Judy Rudoe of the British Museum has noted that in the absence of a makers mark there is insufficient evidence to confirm that the ring was over 300 years old when fond in 2021 (pers comm 18/11/2022).

The bezel is formed of a series of transverse rectangular mouldings, two on both left and right shoulder, and two surrounding a central plate containing a raised copper alloy square projection. The hoop is narrow and tapers slightly to the back of the ring. The ring is slightly flattened and bent. A complete Post-Medieval copper-alloy finger ring, dating to AD 1600-1800. The ring has a thick circular band, flat on the inner surface and at the sides,  and is decorated with ten raised, conjoined lozenges around the centre of the circumference. The outer surface shows traces of gilding. The ten raised areas suggest that this may be a form of  "decade" ring. Such rings were intended to assist in the saying of the rosary. A complete late medieval to early post medieval finger ring, dating to c. AD 1400 - 1600. The hoop of the finger ring is circular and D-shaped in section which expands to an integral flat oval bezel. The bezel is designed with four incised chevrons, three are placed so that they form the shape of a heart, the last chevron sits above the heart to form a lozenge shape. The shoulders are narrowed and undecorated, the hoop is also undecorated. There are file marks on the rear of the bezel and the inside of the hoop.
