A copper alloy finger ring, probably Roman in date, consisting of a flat strip of metal bent into a penannular ring with both terminals narrowing to a point and overlapping slightly. The pointed ends suggest this could have been used as an earring, but they may also simply be narrowed to fit together when worn on the finger and penannular to allow for expansion. Copper alloy finger ring with an empty circular collet for an intaglio. The hoop is oval in profile and D-shaped in section, tapering from the wide (10 mm wide), slightly bevelled shoulders to the narrower base (4 mm wide) of the hoop. The roughly circular collet on the oval bezel is formed from a raised collar which creates a recess, now empty, which would have contained an intaglio made from glass or a gemstone. The band is oval shaped and D-shaped in cross-section and expands from the shoulders to the outer section, which is the widest part of the ring. In the bezel there is an oval recess, now empty which would have contained an intaglio made from glass or a gem. A fragment of a Roman copper alloy finger ring, dating to c. AD 43-250. The fragment comprises almost half of the ring, with the shoulder and a section of the bezel. The cross section at the shoulder is crescent-shaped, and the band tapers down from the shoulder into a point. A complete post-medieval silver gilded finger-ring, dating to the period AD 1500-1550. It measures 23.21mm in diameter, 7.12mm in thickness and weighs 6.66g. The decoration is framed by two ridged rims, one either side, which run the entirety of the finger-ring. In between are triangular sections of raised dots, approximately 21 in each section.
