A complete post-medieval cast copper alloy double-loop buckle with a feather or leaf motif, dating to c. AD 1575-1700. The frame is asymmetrical and consists of a central horizontal pin bar with a slightly protruding knop at each end, which subdivides the frame into a D-shaped loop and rectangular loop. A fragment of a Medieval copper alloy probable buckle plate, dating to c. AD 1200-1450. The artefact consists of a sub-rectangular sheet of copper alloy, broken at both ends and partially along one long side. The plate is decorated with a double-stranded punched rectangular border, defining a field further divided by a large lozengiform border. The lozenge contains a double-stranded cross. The object measures 24mm in length, 13.6mm in width, 0.6mm in thickness and weighs 1.02g.

A Medieval cast copper alloy single loop buckle dating to c. AD 1250 - 1500. It is D shape in form and in section but the rear bar is offset and circular in section. There is a rectangular, inward facing, knop mid way along the length of the rear bar. There is a transverse ridge on each side of the loop, just above the rear bar and a large globular knop on a rounded collar on the outer edge of the frame. The surviving fragment comprises of the front plate only, folded roughly in half on the transverse axis, and with the back plate lost to an old break. The plate is rectangular and undecorated, with a rectangular slot at the buckle-end to accommodate a pin. Dimensions: 18.23mm in length and therefore c 36mm in length originally; 15.40mm in width; 1.47g in weight. compare to similar examples on this database, such as SOM-AC0CFC.
