A cast lead button of probable seventeenth century date. The slightly convex circular button measures 19.4mm in diameter by 5.3mm thick and weighs 3.7g. The front is decorated with a central circular moulded knop, surrounded by radiating slightly curved lines. In the centre of the reverse is the stub of the integral shank. The edge is damaged in places.

A small conical cast lead weight of uncertain but possibly medieval date. The weight measures 11mm in height by 16.7mm (base diameter) by 7.2mm (top diameter) and weighs 13.4g. There is a circular hole running from the top to the bottom. The hole is slightly off centre at the base. The base has two diagional grooves at one side and a third groove running across from side to side next to the hole. It is also possible that this object is a small spindle whorl for a drop-spindle.

A probably medieval lead mend for a pottery vessel. An irregularly shaped piece lead with one large plate and one smaller. The larger plate is sub-triangular with a smoothed surface and a slightly chamfered edge around it (5.55 mm thick). The smaller plate is much thinner (1.87 mm thick) and also roughly triangular. It has a more uneven surface. At one side the plates appear to be joined and there are also two thin bars of lead joining the together at another. A fragment of a lead pilgrim's ampulla which would have held holy water from a shrine. The lower part of a small lead flask from which the upper part or neck has been cut and is now missing. The remaining fragment is rounded and retains the stubs of two attachment loops (one either side) which would have joined to the neck and provided a means of attachment. A cast lead ampulla. Ampullae were an important kind of pilgrim souvenir in the medieval period. They were designed to contain a dose of thaumaturgic water, which would have been given to the pilgrims at the shrines and holy wells. This example dates to between c. 1350-1550.
Almost all of the ampulla survives; but it is in a very poor condition and the lead has been badly damaged by the plough. The rim has been distorted and damaged. The neck is bent.
