An Early-Medieval or Medieval (c.400-1500) copper alloy gilt cut fragment of a larger, probably circular, object. It measures 23.44x16.47x4.33mm and weighs 6.75g. The fragment has two perpendicular edges, with that between curving. To the reverse it is flat with some traces of iron staining, while the front has moulded decoration. Following the line of the curve is an apparent border of Ss or figure-of-eights. Within, and against the longer straight edge, is a stem or perhaps figure. Incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester type one-piece brooch, missing its catchplate and about a third of the pin, point end. It measures 55.2mm in length and weighs 4.78g. The wings are 10.6mm wide and 3.4mm high. The coils and chord are wider, at 16.2mm. There are 6 coils. The chord is held by a forward-facing hook. The pin break is silvery in colour and probably very recent. The catchplate only extended from the bottom third of the bow, not higher up and longer as is more usual. 1st century in date.

Fragment of copper alloy rowel spur, consisting of part of the sides, the neck and an incomplete rowel box. Weighs 11.40g. The sides are an elongated D-shape in section, being flat on the inside surface. They extend c. 20mm in opposite directions from the neck, and the breaks are old but not ancient. An incomplete Late Medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle frame, missing its pin (and possibly plate). It measures 29.30x33.40mm (internal loop measurements c.8mm x c.28mm) and weighs 13.25g. The frame has a thickened outer edge, D-shaped in section, with five moulded lobes separated by four deep rabbets. Each of the lobes has a single transverse groove as well as two vertical grooves on its upper and outside edge.
