A body sherd of Roman Grog Tempered Ware, dating to the period c.AD 275-410. The sherd is sub-trapezoidal in plan, and the fabric is soft and light orange in colour although the inner surface is dark orange. The breaks are worn. The sherd measures 34.69mm in length, 28.74mm in width, 8.61mm in thickness and weighs 10.16g. With thanks to Rachael Seager-Smith for help identifying this sherd.

A rim sherd of Roman South East Dorset Black Burnished Ware, dating to the period c.AD 43-410. The sherd is broadly rectangular in plan, with a dark grey exterior surface and margin, and a mid-grey core, inner margin and inner surface. It has sparse, poorly sorted, white inclusions and moderate voids. The exterior surface is compact and slightly shiny, perhaps burnished. Two of the breaks are worn, but one appears fresher. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman Colchester derivative hinged brooch, dating to the period c.AD 43-120. The brooch has an integrally cast axis cylindrical wings which houses an iron axis bar. In between the wings, the remains of the pin are still intact around the axis bar, although most of it is missing due to worn breaks. A rectangular projection extends upwards from the head, although this has a worn break at its upper terminal and is therefore missing the integral loop. An incomplete copper-alloy medieval probable strap end, dating to the period c. AD 1250-1400. Only one plate remains, which is trapezoidal in plan. The narrowed terminal exhibits a worn break and is curved slightly upwards. An iron rivet is present towards the wider terminal, and one side of the plate exhibits iron corrosion. A green patina covers most of the surface, and the object is undecorated. A complete medieval composite three-piece strap end dating to the period c.AD 1300-1400. The strap end is broadly rectangular in plan and tapers slightly to its closed terminal, which exhibits rounded corners. From this closed terminal, a knop projects from the mid-point of the edge. A Roman copper alloy hod hill brooch, dating to AD 43-75. The brooch survives only as a fragment, consisting of the foot and lower bow. The bow appears to have originally been sub-square in plan, truncated by an irregular break on the upper edge, and with further breaks on the sides. A Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, probably dating to c. AD 1100-1500. The plate is subrectangular and consists of copper alloy sheet, it is expanded at the fold to accommodate a lost bar, with a circular perforation below the bar, for a lost pin. The plate is crudely perforated three times by separate copper alloy rivets, arranged in a triangle with one rivet at the centre of the attachment end. A Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy hinged strip bow brooch, probably dating to AD 25-70. The brooch survives largely complete, with damage to the head and the axis bar and pin lost. The bow is bent at a 90 degree angle at roughly the mid-point, with the foot pointing forwards. The head of the brooch consists of a rectangular sheet of copper alloy with a central rectangular slot to accommodate a hinged pin, now lost.
