Cast copper alloy mount, hexagonal and flat, with a large off-centre rivet hole 3.7 mm in diameter. The hexagon is not regular; two parallel and opposite sides are longer than the others, making it 19.64mm long but only 12.41mm wide. At the shorter ends, one angled corner is longer then the other, making the angle more acute; the rivet hole is placed where the centre would be if the hexagon was regular and both angles less acute. A cast copper alloy mount of post-medieval to modern date. The head of the mount is hemispherical, with a concave underside.An integrally cast rivet projects backwards from the centre of the head's underside; it is of square cross section, bent and tapers to a point back with a square tapered shank which tapers to a point. A sheet copp-alloy mount, probably dating from the Late Medieval period. The plate is rectangular and has an in situ copper-alloy rivet which is placed centrally to one edge. There is no evidence of decoration but the reverse side reveals a smaller sub-rectangular shadow which may be mineralised leather. The suggested late medieval date is based on the form and also its glossy olive green patina. The dimensions are: Length 19.67 mm. Width 20.53 mm. Thickness 0.73 mm. Weight:1.356 grams.

The back has an integrally cast shank which is of sub-rectangular cross section and is incomplete. The object has a patchy green and brown patina. The circular piece is in the style of a Roman coin and bears a depiction of Roma, helmeted, seated left, holding a Victory in her right hand and a sceptre in her left.The legend '(VR)BS- ROMA' surrounds this image, beginning at 7 o'clock and extending in a clockwise direction. The object has a moulded front and flat back with two integral attachment spikes which are bent over towards the centre. It is uncertain as to whether it has been made by casting or by pressing sheet metal.The upper surface is convex and the edges have been bent downwards, creating a hollow underside. Close to the centre is an irregular perforation, with a rivet hole above and a second below. Length of mount is 23.10 mm; it has a width of 5.43 mm; and a thickness of 0.79 mm. A copper-alloy openwork mount of uncertain date. The head of the mount comprises a series of joined sub-circular and sub-oval loops. Overall, the head is broadly rectangular and there is an angled lobe projecting outwards from each of the four corners. A cast openwork copper-alloy mount from the early post-Medieval period, circa 1550-1650. In plan the the object is sub-circular and flat with two tapered, integral rivets at the back. Although the front is very worn it is rose like and with the openwork suggest a floral theme. The object may be mis-cast as it is usual to have four openings rather than the two seen on this example. The object has a green patina. Dimensions are: Diameter:12.48 mm. Thickness: 1.28. Weight: 1.269 grams. Reference: SUR-0907FA. CORN-93694A for similar examples. A complete copper-alloy bar mount from the Medieval period, circa 1350-1400. The mount is rectangular in plan and has a trapezoidal cross section. There is an empty rivet hole just below the top and a second, containing a copper-alloy rivet, a short distance up from the bottom side. The empty hole has been countersunk on its underside, and a ring of impacted soil around the base of the in situ rivet suggests that this is also true of the lower hole.

A late medieval copper-alloy mount. The mount has been stamped from sheet metal and has a hollow underside. The piece is broadly in the form of a scallop shell, although one side is narrower than the other and has a pair of circular depressions. There is a drilled circular rivet hole near the centre of the mount. The piece is in good condition, having little corrosion and a dark blueish-green patina.

The mount has a conical centre, around which are six rounded petals, some of which are damaged. The apex of the mount is also missing. Flanking this hole are two in situ copper-alloy rivets with circular stops at their bottom ends. There are fragments of textile attached to the rivets.

There appears to be damage to the top and base which could have been the attachment points.
